Diamonds Are Forever - OGA Dinner

Wow! Just came back from the dinner :) It was SO MUCH FUN!

Lets see...who came? Juju, Tina, Bad, Nani,Fid, Kus, Ad, Anna Mail, Mala, Nini, Yati, Farah Naz, Noni, Zurul, Ije, Jiehan, Za, NN, Ruby, Id, Elin, Yus and Tatee. Ina Rahim, Azee, Jizi and Ha didn't make it.

As per usual, part part photos, Mala and the other girls will upload. The girls dressed memang banyak bling bling. Honestly, I tak ingat what we had for dinner, apart from the salmon, which I'm not a fan of. I assume its good coz Ruby and Id baham licin...he he.

It was quite a long night. During dinner, we had the old girls and tkc girls serenading us. Our own Farah Naz sang a duet with Zura (SPM85), I Know Him So Well. Really nice harmony...brought back some really nice memories :) K.Ijat or Y.B. Dato' Seri Shahrizat remembered Farah after dinner when we took photos with her. Don't play..play. Or maybe depa sedara kot??

Anyways, the songs sung were Cinta (from the movie Cinta), Sinaran, Summer Time. Oh..sat, for the opening gambit, Zura sang Shirley Bassey's song - Diamonds Are Forever. I enjoyed that. Tina's fave song. Every time kalau karaoke dgn dia, she never miss that song...heh. Hmm...I think ada violin show jugak. I kinda missed that one.

Ada ceremony pulut kuning, potong cake, awards for old girls yang did well in life career wise. Ada special gifts for the first batch of MGC/TKC girls 60 years ago. Guest of honors - Yam Tuan Negeri Sembilan and wife, Sultan Selangor, Raja Nazrin and wife. Ada video presentations - interviews on old girls etc.

Oh, ada four dances - Sway, Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friends (DAAGBF), Roman Holiday and Miller Magic. I don't know about you gals, I always look forward to the dances. They're good. And I love the fact that our current President is so sporting. She looked like she really enjoyed dancing to Marilyn Monroe's DAAGBF.

Haaa...masa the royalties balik, we all got the opportunity to salam with the VVIPs...It's not everyday you get to shake hands with royalties, from three states some more. The tables we had was quite strategic. Guess that's the advantage of paying early :)

The singer for the dinner was Sharizan Borhan. He sang banyak lagu time swing/sway/ rock & roll.

Ronggeng time! Yess...actually, I was really looking forward to dancing with friends. Bad, Kus pun beriye-iye nak menari. After posing for our batch photo, kita orang pun hit the dance floor. Best!! Got joget, sway, cha-cha, rumba...almost semua menari okay.

I dunno about the rest. Me, I enjoyed myself very much. Thank you for the company girls and being sporting!

P/S. My husband actually accompanied me to dinner. Very cool guy, although ada la jugak part-part yg dia dissapear :)
